Details:

In 1986 Stanley purchased the black hawk Husky brands along with associated tooling from Litton industrial when dissolved its hand tool division owned new Britain machine co. Proto, at the time was manufacturing wrenches, etc under Proto and Challenger brands in addition to providing private brand labeling - eg: tritest wrenches for true value hardware.

The Stanley works purchased Proto tools in 1984. Wrench set is new unused and in excellent condition no owners marks nor other engravings as to why there a Husky Challenger.

Stanley eventually phased out the Challenger brand, opting instead to manufacture that line of tools under more recognized black hawk brand while still manufacturing identical Husky, tritest, etc brands.
